Officiant Plus Phone Rehearsal
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The Officiant Fee includes retainer and ceremony fees. The retainer fee is non-refundable.
These fees will be explained in more detail in a Confirmation Email.
Payments must be made via Venmo, CashApp, PayPal, Zelle, Check/Money Order.
Fee may be higher for holidays.
The ceremony words are discussed over the phone and in the Confirmation Email.
PHONE REHEARSAL
Carolyn Burke [Officiant] will confirm this appointment before the event - a phone rehearsal.
Details of the phone rehearsal will be stated in the Confirmation Email.
Officiant and Couple will go over the details and "rehearse" via the phone at that time.
You both do not need to be available for the phone rehearsal - only one of you is fine.
ADDITIONAL TERMS
If the ceremony includes a sand ceremony, unity candle, or any other special feature, the client is responsible for furnishing all equipment needed. Officiant agrees to arrive at the wedding location listed on the Confirmation Email at the agreed time. Client understands that they must adhere to these times but Officiant does understand weddings do not always go as planned and will accommodate for weddings that start later than scheduled, as time permits. Officiant will allow for a 15-minute block of time to give plenty of time for unexpected delays.
MARRIAGE LICENSE
Couple understands that it is the their responsibility to acquire a valid marriage license in the state where the wedding ceremony will take place and the marriage license must be on the premises when the ceremony is performed. Couple understands that failure to have these legal documents means that Officiant cannot legally perform the ceremony and is under no obligation to do so. Officiant may at her discretion perform a symbolic ceremony, which will have no legal merit, and may perform a legal ceremony in private for the Couple once the legal documents are presented, for an additional fee. Couple will consult with the local court or city clerk to find the exact requirements for the marriage license.
CEREMONY LOCATION
The agreement with Carolyn Burke STL is subject to proven detention by accidents, riots, strikes, epidemics, acts of mother nature, or any other legitimate conditions beyond their control. If it is an uncovered ceremony site, it is the Couple's responsibility to find an indoor or covered location. If there is extreme temperatures above 100 degrees or below 30 degrees, it is the Couple's responsibility to find an indoor location.
ACTS OF MOTHER NATURE: extreme weather or unsafe conditions affecting the venue and surrounding areas, such as tornadoes, flooding, fire, or severe heat/cold.
CANCELLATION and REFUND TERMS
If Officiant cancels due to health or emergency circumstances, all reasonable efforts will be made by Officiant to find a replacement. Should Officiant be unable to secure a replacement to perform the ceremony, Client shall receive a full refund. Client agrees that in all circumstances, Officiant liability shall be exclusively limited to an amount equal to the performance fee and that Officiant shall not be liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from any breach of contract.
Still photographs may be used for such purposes as publicity, illustration, advertising, and website content.
FAILURE TO COMMUNICATE OR MAKE PAYMENT
Carolyn Burke (Officiant) may terminate the Confirmation Email upon a Couple’s failure to reply to emails/texts or make a payment for more than 48 hours after delivery of written reminder notice to Couple of such failure.
